Privacy Policy

About this policy

Purposely Catholic is the name of our website and media work. This policy explains how we handle information through purposelycatholic.com, our contact forms, newsletter and shop. For privacy questions or requests, email connect@purposelycatholic.com.

Information you provide

Contact forms collect your first name, email address, subject and message. Last name and phone number are optional. Newsletter signup collects your first name, email address and subscription choice. When you make a purchase, checkout collects the contact, delivery and transaction details needed for your order; the payment provider handles your payment information.

How we use it

We use this information to answer messages, consider feedback and suggestions, send the email updates you request, manage orders and protect the site from spam or misuse. Sending a contact message does not by itself subscribe you to our newsletter.

Who receives it

We use Wix for forms, contact records and store services. Submissions may also appear in email and app notifications accessible to team members and site collaborators with access. For the newsletter, Mailchimp processes your name, email address and subscription preferences so we can manage the mailing list and send the emails you request. Providers that help us process payments and fulfill orders receive the information needed for those services. We may also disclose information when required by law or to address fraud, security incidents or misuse.

Cookies, videos and spam protection

Wix and embedded services may receive technical information, such as your IP address, browser details and requests, and use cookies or similar technologies to operate and protect their features. YouTube video players and remotely hosted video thumbnails connect to Google services. A thumbnail or player can make that connection before you play a video. Wix forms use spam protection that can include Google reCAPTCHA. See the Wix and Google privacy policies linked below. Browser settings let you manage cookies, although blocking them can affect site features.

Email engagement

Our newsletters may use Mailchimp tracking pixels and tracked links to record email opens and link clicks associated with your subscription. This helps us understand engagement and improve our emails. Email software and automated activity can affect these measurements.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe using the link in a newsletter or email us for help. You may also ask to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you. We may need to verify your identity and retain records required by law or necessary to resolve an ongoing issue. We handle requests in accordance with applicable law.

Keeping information

We keep personal information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes above, including necessary order, legal and security records. We delete information when it is no longer needed. No online service or email system can guarantee complete security.

Updates

We will post policy changes here and update the date above. Please check this page when you want to understand our current practices.
